According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A North Augusta woman reported on Friday that another North Augusta woman shot at her with a black and gold handgun while driving by her on Johnson Road. However, the responding officer could find no evidence that the incident had taken place after talking to the subject at her home. The subject said she had been at her residence all day and didn’t own a vehicle.
An Edgefield woman reported on Friday that a man driving a white pickup hit her vehicle’s left rear bumper at Greg’s Gas Plus on Edgefield Road in North Augusta and then fled the scene.
A North Augusta woman reported on Saturday that five purses were missing from her home on Forest Drive in North Augusta.
A Williston woman reported on Friday that a white male stole her purse from the back office of a business on Hitchcock Parkway in Aiken. The responding officer viewed a video that showed a man removing objects from the purse and then taking the purse with him. The woman said the purse had her driver’s license, Social Security card and Medicaid card in it along with an unspecified amount of money.
A Windsor man reported on Friday that someone vandalized the Aiken Electric Cooperative truck that he was driving while he was “changing an electric meter” at a home on Buckskin Court in Warrenville. The man said he left the truck running while he went to the house’s backyard. When he returned to the truck, he said, it was no longer running, the gas cap was open and there was fluid on the ground and the side of the tuck. The fluid was antifreeze.
A burglary was reported on Saturday at a home on Wagener Road in Aiken.
A Johnston man reported on Saturday that someone removed his wallet from his pants pocket during the night while he was staying in a room at the Quality Inn on Frontage Road in Aiken. He said he was sharing the room with a man named Frank and two females whose names he didn’t know. The man later found the wallet.
A North Augusta woman, who lives on Second Avenue, reported on Saturday that someone had used her credit card without her permission to purchase an iPhone in Raleigh, N.C., and then had activated the phone using her Sprint account. The responding officer reported that the woman flagged him down in Clearwater to report the incident.
A Beech Island man reported on Saturday that someone had taken a Whirlpool range from a house on Avalon Lane that was vacant while it was being remodeled.
A Graniteville woman reported on Saturday that someone broke the windshield of her vehicle with a brick while it was parked at her home on Aiken Road.
A Beech Island woman reported on Sunday that items were taken from two vehicles that were unlocked while parked at a home on Old Jackson Highway.
A North Augusta woman reported on Saturday that her son had taken her vehicle without her mission. Her daughter told the responding officer that she had seen her brother break into the vehicle with a metal object.
A Beech Island woman reported on Saturday that a North Augusta woman had used to her Regions bank debit card without her permission to make purchases at a Family Dollar Store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater. The victim said she had allowed the subject to use the debit card to purchase a phone and buy minutes.
An Aiken man reported on Saturday that an object struck a large bay window on the second floor of his house on Pine Log Road. The responding officer observed “circular damage” to the window that was the size of a “BB” (a lead pellet used as ammunition for an air rifle).
