According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 30-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to steal items from a store on Richland Avenue by concealing them in a baby stroller.

Shoplifting warrants were issued for a 27-year-old North Augusta man who took two 12-packs of alcoholic beverages from a store on Hampton Avenue without paying for them.

An Aiken woman reported on Sunday that she returned to her home on Fairfield Street to find two tires on her SUV flattened. The tires each had a 1-inch slit in them.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Belair Terrace on Saturday. The owner reported a book bag and golf clubs missing.

Two additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Richland Avenue.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A Graniteville woman reported on Friday that someone opened a satellite TV account and a phone line in her husband’s name.

A 35-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Saturday after he was pulled over on Pine Street for speeding. The man smelled of alcohol and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.

A 59-year-old Beech Island man reported on Sunday that an unknown person tried to enter his home on Storm Branch Road but fled when noticed by the homeowner.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Midland Drive in Graniteville on Saturday. The owner reported firearms, a camera and a television missing from the RV. The suspect reportedly broke a window but entered through the skylight.

Additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Midland Drive in Graniteville, Avondale Lane in Warrenville, Old Jackson Highway in Beech Island, Lands End Drive in Warrenville and Pleasant Point Drive in Warrenville.

A burglary was reported at a home on Star Bright Lane in North Augusta on Saturday. The owner reported a video game console, a game and a cellphone missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Demedicis Boulevard in Warrenville, Swamp Road in Beech Island, Turning Crest Lane in Graniteville and Ott Dale Road in Wagener.

Vehicles were reported stolen from Honeysuckle Trail in Salley, Westover Drive in Aiken and Confederate Road in Aiken.
