COLUMBIA (AP) — Investigators said a fire at a Columbia strip mall that did $1 million of damage to several businesses was intentionally set.
The Richland County Fire Marshal’s office said the blaze started around 12:30 a.m. on Monday in a self-storage business in the Spring Valley Commons Shopping Center northeast of Columbia.
Deputies are now investigating who set the blaze.
No one was injured in the fire. Officials said it took more than 60 firefighters to put out the blaze.
