Congress currently sports a five percent approval rating. Pretty shabby. My non-partisan idea is when the mid-term election comes up in a year, vote all incumbents out of office and see if the incoming newbies get the picture.
North Augusta is able to pay $650,000 for a vehicle they don’t need because the rest of Aiken County is footing the bill for Project Jackson.
Horse district trees
Why aren’t the trees under the power lines trimmed? They’re trimmed everywhere else. Is the horse district special and doesn’t have to get its trees trimmed?
The president needs to sit down and negotiate. Clinton did it.
Parents should be responsible for their children when they live in apartments.
Will the SRS Heritage Center describe how thousands of residents were forcibly removed from their property by the U.S. government to make way for a weapon of mass destruction and create a nuclear waste dump that will forever make thousands of acres of land unusable?
We always hear about Social Security running out of money. Why is it we never hear about welfare running out of money? Social Security was paid by people working ... welfare is not.
The other day I received a hand-addressed envelope in the mail. To my surprise, it was a certified check. Being suspicious of a scam, I contacted the bank who issued it. The check was legitimate. Someone with whom I’d crossed paths had sent me a gift. I struggled for a few days with cashing it or not and finally decided that if this person had it in his or her heart to send it, he or she must have meant for me to have it. This reinforces my belief that there are good people in this world and that I should be grateful for what I have, be kind to everyone I meet and help others when I can. Most people hope to hit the lottery. I believe that within the people I meet, I have hit the lottery. I will pass some of this good fortune along to others I know of who are in need, and if there is anything I can do for you in the future (my anonymous gift-giver), please don’t hesitate to ask.
