ORANGEBURG (AP) — An Orangeburg woman has been charged with being under the influence of narcotics in a 2012 car wreck that killed a 77-year-old man.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports that 52-year-old Nancy Hughes was charged Friday with felony driving under the influence involving death.

Authorities said Hughes tested positive for multiple drugs including marijuana, Adderall and Xanax after her SUV collided head-on with Walter Jones’ vehicle on Dec. 13 west of Orangeburg.
