Clyde Smith earned first place in a competitive speaking event held in Columbia.
The long-time member of Aiken Toastmasters represented his home club on the division level after capturing an earlier win on the area level contest. Smith’s win qualifies him to compete in the state-wide contest which will take place during the Toastmasters District 58 Fall Conference to be held Oct. 19.
