Lisa Gilbert Schmon and Jason Kolotouros, both of Astoria, N.Y., were married August 31, 2013, at the Agia Varvaras Church in Corfu, Greece. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Arthur Albert Schmon. Fathers Katsaros Gerasimos and Yiannis Salvanou officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Knox McLean of Aiken, SC and Arthur Albert Schmon of Roberts Creek, British Columbia. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Northrup Rand Knox (Lucetta) of Aiken and East Aurora, New York, and the late Mr. Robert McCormick Schmon of St. Catharines, Ont., and the late Mrs. Mary Carpenter of Hendersonville, N.C.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Athanase Kolotouros of Roslyn, N.Y. and a grandson of the late Pelagia and George Kolotouros of Athens, Greece.
Rebecca Schmon of Vancouver, BC, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Meg Schmon of Vancouver, BC, sister-in-law of the bride; Pelagia Kolotouros of New York, sister of the groom; and Elena Kolotouros of Hackensack, N.J., sister-in-law of the groom.
Anthony Maestrone of Brooklyn, N.Y., friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were George Kolotouros of Hackensack, N.J., brother of the groom; Richard Schmon of Vancouver, BC and Arthur Schmon III of Bend, Oregon, brothers of the bride.
Isabel Mary Schmon of Vancouver, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Following a boat ride to the location, a reception was held at Taverna Kerasia in Corfu.
The bride is a graduate of Miss Porters School in Farmington, CT, and Rollins College in Florida, where she earned a BA in Theatre Arts. She earned her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, CA, and now works as an actor in New York.
The bridegroom has his BFA from Adelphi University and an MFA in Acting from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He now lives and works as an actor in New York.
The couple will reside in Astoria, N.Y.
