According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 45-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Sunday after an officer saw him nearly run a stop sign on East Pine Log Road. The man admitted to drinking earlier and failed multiple field sobriety tests. He registered a blood-alcohol content of .23 percent.
A 21-year-old Aiken woman was detained for DUI on Thursday after she was seen driving erratically on Whiskey Road. The woman smelled of alcoholic beverage and failed multiple field sobriety tests. She registered a blood-alcohol content of .12 percent.
A 24-year-old Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct on Thursday after someone reported an intoxicated individual on Rutland Drive asking people for money. The man was also charged with providing false information to a police officer after giving officers a false birth date.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A Warrenville woman reported on Wednesday that someone took her lawn mower from her Harrison Road home.
A Jackson man reported on Wednesday that someone fraudulently used his credit card to pay bills in California.
A North Augusta man was detained for driving under suspension on Wednesday after an officer assisted him with his disabled vehicle on Cherokee Drive. Dispatch later told the officer the driver had a suspended license.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Forest Drive in North Augusta on Wednesday. The owner reported a window busted out and guns, ammunition, sunglasses and money missing.
An additional vehicle break-in was reported on Sweetbay Circle in Warrenville. The owner reported clothing and jewelry missing.
A burglary was reported on Williston Road in Beech Island on Wednesday.
