According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 57-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Sunday after a motorist alerted authorities of a possibly impaired driver on Whiskey Road. The man exhibited signs of intoxication and was arrested after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
Two unknown men reportedly jumped out of a taxi cab and ran without paying for the $25 after the cab dropped them off at their location.
An air conditioner unit was reported missing from a home on Kershaw Street on Monday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A burglary was reported on Chickasaw Drive in North Augusta on Monday. The owner reported a firearm and a laptop missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island on Monday and Gilmore Avenue in North Augusta on Monday.
