The Kiaran McLaughlin charge will be making a step up in class in Saturday’s 1 1/16-mile Solar Splendor Stakes at Belmont Park. The bay colt will carry 118 pounds in the race carded for Belmont’s innner turf track, and jockey Luis Saez gets the return call. North Slope is 5/1 on the morning line, and will break from post position no. 3.

The bay colt has 2 wins and 1 third from 5 starts, and has earned $79,069.
