The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred Monday night in the Graniteville area.
After receiving a 911 call, Sheriff's Deputies responded to 340 Aiken Road where one of the victims told deputies that the suspect, Devron Duncan, approached her and the other victims, brandishing a handgun, according to law enforcement. The 911 caller told deputies that Duncan did fire two shots towards his girlfriend and her children while they sat in a vehicle and then fired again as she ran towards an entrance to an apartment.
One victim did suffer injuries resulting from a physical assault by Duncan, 20. She was treated at Aiken Regional Hospital for her injuries.
Duncan, 20, fled the area in a vehicle prior to law enforcement arriving in the area.
Investigators are obtaining warrants for attempted murder on Duncan and other associated charges, according to the Sheriff's Office.
