Kendall Driscoll won first place in the adult division of Poetry Matters Competition 2013 for her poem, “Give Me Some Flowers.”

Driscoll, a music education major at Furman University, is also an accomplished musician and composer. She conducted her original composition, “Valse,” which was premiered by The Kings Strings at South Aiken Presbyterian Church on June 2.
