A 52-year-old man was detained for DUI after officers found him passed out in his vehicle that was parked in the middle of the road on Friday, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
Tracy Myers, of Southgate Drive in Rosenburg, was taken to the Aiken County detention center.
About 12:45 a.m. on Friday, officers found Myers passed out in his vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the road on Old Jordan Road in Aiken, according to a report. An officer had to knock on the window multiple times before Myers woke up.
The officer could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle, according to the report.
In addition to not being able to answer the officer’s questions, Myers fell asleep multiple times while the officer was speaking with him.
Myers was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
