Melissa and Brett Jarriel of Aiken, SC are very pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Jarriel, to Mitchell McConaughy Baker, son of Mitch and Meredith Baker of Bennettsville, SC.
Beth is a 2009 graduate of Aiken High School and, in 2012, received her bachelor’s degree in Russian from the University of SC. She is currently a graduate student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at USC. Beth is the granddaughter of Elizabeth H. Henshaw and the late Charles L. Henshaw, Sr. of Aiken and Anne H. Jarriel and the late Jack L. Jarriel, also of Aiken.
Mac is a 2006 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School and, in 2011, received his bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of SC. He is employed as a teacher at Leslie M. Stover Middle School and is pursuing a master’s degree in Education Administration at USC. Mac is the grandson of Walter Mitchell Baker, Sr. and Ann McConaughy Baker of Charleston, SC and Franklin DuBose Edmonds and Betty Rast Edmonds of Orangeburg, SC.
The couple is planning a December 2013 wedding at the SC State Museum and will reside in Columbia, SC.
