Blotter for June 14
According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 39-year-old Clarks Hill woman was detained for DUI on June 7 after she was seen driving erratically on Richland Avenue. The woman blew a 0.0 on the breathalyzer and told officers she had taken a Xanax earlier. While inventorying her belongings at the detention center, officers found a small metal cylinder containing a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
An Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that she has been receiving threatening text messages from an unknown person.
An 18-year-old man was detained for disorderly conduct on Wednesday after being combative with staff in the emergency department at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. The man had to be restrained in handcuffs and a hobble and injected with a sedative. The man continued to be combative and threatened to kill the nurse who injected him with the sedative.
A 54-year-old Beech Island man was detained for DUI on Thursday after officers saw him driving his vehicle with two flat tires on Silver Bluff Road. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A burglary was reported on Center Street in Perry on Wednesday. The owner reported two shotguns, two televisions, a video game console, jewelry and cash missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Daytona Road in Wagener on Wednesday and Crossroads Park Road in Aiken on Thursday. A vehicle was also reported stolen from the Crossroads Park Road home.
