According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A Beech Island woman was detained for shoplifting on Friday after she allegedly filled a tote with more than $800 in merchandise and tried to leave the store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A 15-year-old boy was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he allegedly tried to take a cell phone from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
Two unknown women took $340 in merchandise from a store in Aiken Mall without paying on Saturday.
A small bag of leafy, green substance appearing to be marijuana was found pushed under the front door of an office on Medical Park Drive on Sunday.
Two unknown men entered a store on Whiskey Road on Sunday, loaded a cart with electronics and sporting goods and then tried to leave the store without paying for the items. The men left the cart and fled when approached by a loss prevention officer.
A 16-year-old boy was detained for shoplifting on Sunday after he tried to cut open an air soft gun package in a store.
Two unknown men entered a store in Aiken Mall on Sunday, grabbed five stacks of Polo shirts and then left the store without paying for the shirts.
An unknown man allegedly took two packs of chicken from a store on Whiskey Road on Sunday without paying.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Friday on Church Street, Gregg Avenue and Assembly Street.
A burglary was reported at a home on Maurice Terrace on Sunday. The owner reported an air conditioner unit and a television missing.
Two bicycles and other riding equipment were reported missing from a home on Carnoustie Court on Sunday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 33-year-old North Augusta man was detained for DUI on Saturday after an officer pulled him over on Edgefield Road for drifting in the roadway. The man was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
Burglaries were reported on Mt. Calvary Road in Ridge Spring, Pinewoods Park Circle in Aiken, Howard Mill Road in North Augusta, Pine Street in Graniteville, Sandy Lane in Aiken and Bridle Creek Trail in Aiken.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Colbert Bridge Road in Aiken and Morgan Avenue in North Augusta.
