According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 12-year-old boy was detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after he allegedly tried to take several candy bars from a convenience store on Richland Avenue without paying.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Houndslake Drive on Monday. The owner reported that her window was broken out and a purse containing cards and a cell phone was missing.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

Two people on Bristol Avenue in Aiken reported that someone struck and damaged their mailboxes.

A North Augusta woman reported on Tuesday that someone spraypainted her vehicle that was parked outside her Edisto Avenue home.

A Salley man reported on Tuesday that an unknown man driving a red Ford Crown Victoria tried to kick in the front door of his Walker Poole Road home. The man was unsuccessful, but he did leave a BIC lighter on the ground near where his car was parked.

A burglary was reported at a home on Altees Corbett Road in Salley on Tuesday. The owner reported firearms and electronics missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Tuesday on Pineland Terrace in Aiken, Union Hill Road in Salley, Pine Log Road in Warrenville, Bryars Lane in North Augusta, Old Bell Road in Aiken, Daniel Boone Drive in Aiken and Columbia Highway in Monetta.

A Graniteville man reported his trailer stolen from Old Cherokee Indian Road in Graniteville on Tuesday.
