WEDDINGS: Buchanan — McEachin

Amy Elizabeth McEachin, of Florence, and William Tarrant Buchanan, of Aiken, were united in marriage Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Saint John’s Church in Florence. The Reverend Ariel Kenneth Weldon officiated the ceremony at half past six in the evening. A reception followed at the bride’s family farm.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Malloy McEachin, Jr., of Florence.

Miss McEachin is the granddaughter of Mrs. Edumunds Bramlett of Columbia and Mr. Doran Alexander Bramlett, Jr., of Mount Pleasant, and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Malloy McEachin of Florence. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. The bride received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of South Carolina and completed the dietetic internship program at Tulane University. She is a Registered Dietitian.

The groom is the son of The Honorable and Mrs. Robert Lee Buchanan, Jr., of Aiken. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Bartram Robeson, Jr., of Greenwood and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Buchanan of Aiken. Mr. Buchanan is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a partner in the firm of Johnson, Laschober and Associates.

Matrons of Honor were Mrs. Elizabeth Dargan Pesant, cousin of the bride; and Mrs. Sara Malarik Evatt. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Bailey Buchanan, sister of the groom; Mrs. Erin Tarte McEachin, sister-in-law of the bride; Miss Marie Gillespie Stitt, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Meredith Faulling Hair, Miss Darby Fenton Allen, Mrs. Jessica Schlueter Hazel, and Miss Emily Elisabeth Jones.

Flower girls were Miss Sarah Tennent Marzagao and Miss Mary Duffie Marzagao, cousins of the bride. Readers were Miss Emma Neyle Baker and Miss Mary Camilla Baker, cousins of the bride. The greeter was Miss Lauren Young Swink, cousin of the bride.

Best Man was The Honorable Robert Lee Buchanan, Jr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Dr. Robert Lee Buchanan, III, brother of the groom; Mr. FitzLee Howard McEachin, Mr. Peter Hector McEachin, and Mr. Daniel Malloy McEachin, brothers of the bride; Mr. Franklin Nicholson Buchanan, cousin of the groom; Mr. Robert Davis Miniard, Mr. William Graham Reynolds and Mr. Elmer Detwyler Haislip, III.

The bride wore earrings that belonged to her great,-great-grandmother, a brooch that belonged to her great-grandmother and her mother’s veil.

After a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Charleston.
