According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 17-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after she allegedly took several bags of merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying. She fled the scene in a vehicle but was later apprehended after officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
Two people were detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after they allegedly filled a shopping cart with merchandise in a store on Whiskey Road and pushed the cart out of the store. An employee who stopped the individuals said they gave her a receipt for a Walmart purchase from Sunday, then left the cart and tried to flee the scene. An officer stopped them as they were getting into a vehicle.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A burglary was reported on Dragstrip Road in Aiken on Tuesday. The owner reported a video game system, a controller and a cell phone missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Rebel Road in Aiken and Carolina Springs Road in North Augusta.
An unknown man allegedly entered an auto store on Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta on Tuesday, stuffed an unknown item into his pants and fled the store without paying.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to a second shoplifting in Aiken on Tuesday after an unknown man entered a gas station, grabbed two items and ran from the store without paying.
