According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 52-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Wednesday after he allegedly took several meat products from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.
An Aiken man reported his lawn mower missing from his Jehossee Drive home on Wednesday.
An Aiken woman reported on Thursday that someone wrote with a permanent marker on the hood of her car while it was parked on George Street.
A 24-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after he was seen taking an item out of a box in a store on Whiskey Road. He allegedly placed the item on a shelf in another department after he realized he was being followed by a store employee.
A woman reported she went to a restaurant on Whiskey Road about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, and that when she went outside to her car an hour later, the hood of the car was open and propped up.
A burglary was reported on Carpenter Lane on Thursday. The owner reported a television, a DVD player and speakers missing.
An Aiken woman reported on Thursday that someone stole her credit card from her car and made several fraudulent transactions.
A 23-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Friday after officers saw him make an improper turn from East Pine Log Road to Whiskey Road, then swerve into the oncoming lane. The man was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A construction company in Beech Island reported on Thursday that someone entered a construction site in Jackson and damaged the walls and cabinets.
Burglaries were reported on Black Oak Drive in Windsor and Hillview Drive in Graniteville on Thursday.
