Wagener-Salley JROTC finishes 13th
The Wagener-Salley High School JROTC Rifle Team finished 13th at the 2013 JROTC National Air Rifle Championship held March 22-23 at the Civilian Marksmanship Program Marksmanship Center South in Anniston, Ala. Competing in the sporter class against the 26 best JROTC rifle teams from the Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force, the War Eagle Rifle Team earned the right to participate in the championship match by finishing as the sixth best Army JROTC Team in the nation at the Army Service Championship held in February 2013. Team members include Alexi Henry, Chelsea Argroe, Scott Brown, Cody Miller and Kelly Frost. In the individual competition, Cadet Alexi Henry maintains her status as one of the best shooters in the nation by finishing fourth overall, one of five cadets that qualified to compete in both daily finals. The competitors with the top eight scores competed in the daily finals. Cadet Kelly Frost finished 26th overall out of the 132 competitors.
