Lauren Ashley Collins of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Clinton Hudson Brakebill of Chattanooga, Tennessee were married April 26, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. Jonathan Claude Collins. The Reverend Father Gregory Wilson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jonathan Claude Collins of Aiken. She is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Gladys Adams and the late Mr. Thomas Benjamin Niland, Jr. She is the paternal granddaughter of the late Mrs. Marilyn Deloach Collins and the late Mr. Edward Joshua Collins.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Beth Sosebee Walker of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hudson Brakebill of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. He is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Waynette Blalock Sosebee of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the late Harold Clinton Sosebee, Jr., and the paternal grandson of Mrs. Connie Marie Brakebill of Athens, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Richard Hudson Brakebill.
Mrs. Jennifer Collins Carlisle of Aiken and Mrs. Kathryn Collins Osteen of Aiken, sisters of the bride, served as Matrons of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Leslie Townsend Barber of Greenville; Miss Catherine Wilcox Rutherfurd and Miss Meghan Anne Wetzel, both of Columbia; Mrs. Ann Royal Cupo of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Miss Ellen Rose Victor of Atlanta, Georgia, all friends of the bride.
Mr. Patrick Hudson Brakebill of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jon Michael Collins of Aiken, brother of the bride; Mr. Adam Ray Cox of Chattanooga, Tennessee, cousin of the groom; Mr. Patrick Reid Fitzgerald of Columbia; Mr. Kjeld Lauritzen of Sykesville, Maryland; and Mr. Christopher Malloy of Savannah, Georgia, all friends of the groom.
The Scripture readers were Mrs. Kathryn Collins Osteen and Mr. James Christian Carlisle. The cross bearer was Mr. Kyle Frei. Mrs. Mary Grefenstette served as soloist and cantor and Mrs. Mary Brooke Quarles Grier served as soloist. Mr. James Walker served as tenor and Mrs. Leone Philbeck was the organist. Program attendants were Miss Amanda Theresa Morelli and Miss Chelsea Nicole Harrell. The wedding director was Mrs. Mary Frei.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Aiken High School. She is a 2011 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is employed by Erlanger Health Systems in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is a 2008 graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a 2011 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He is employed by Erlanger Health Systems in Chattanooga, Tennessee and will start CRNA School in May of 2013 at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at St. Angela Hall. The couple left for a honeymoon to St. John, US Virgin Islands.
They will reside in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
