Thanks for help with event

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the NAACP’s program on April 20, particularly Dr. Beth Everitt and Joy Shealy for assembling such a dynamic team of educators.

The event was exciting all around. There were many vendors giving out products and information. Liz Morris, a member of the Aiken Branch NAACP Executive Committee – after being approached by myself – just took the ball and ran with it and I cannot say enough about her significant role in the program’s success.

The variety of activities was nearly overwhelming, from educators to the Aiken Department of Public Safety and the Aiken County bloodhounds. Golf and archery personal were on hand and many more. Both the keynote speakers, Devon Harris and Heyward Jean, were excellent – both amusing and both with a timely message.

Door prizes were given out at the end of the program and they were very nice prizes donated by Aiken County middle schools – and they were nice prizes. So big cudos to Liz Morris and Joy Shealy and their team for a great experience in Aiken County Schools. Looking forward to next year.

Philip C. Howell

President Aiken Branch NAACP
