A 39-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Tuesday after officers pulled him over on Washington Avenue for not having a working tag light. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and failed multiple field sobriety tests.

An Aiken woman reported on Tuesday that someone filed a tax return using her personal information.

Vehicle break-ins were reported to Aiken Public Safety on Monday on Dibble Road, Laurens Street and Abbeville Avenue.

A North Augusta man was detained for DUI on Tuesday after he was found sleeping in his car with the engine running outside a store on Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta. Officers arrested him after he failed multiple field sobriety tests.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville on Tuesday. The owner reported that a window had been busted out, and a purse, its contents and a camera were missing.

Burglaries were reported on Oak Leaf Lane in Aiken and New Bridge Road in Aiken.

Stolen vehicles were reported on Jefferson Davis Highway in Warrenville on Tuesday and Pearl Lane in Windsor on Monday.

A Windsor man was detained for DUI on Tuesday after he was pulled over on Beck Road for driving recklessly. The man, who smelled strongly of alcohol, was arrested after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
