Two pedestrians have been injured after they were struck by a vehicle this afternoon in Aiken.
The pedestrians were hit by a Jeep Cherokee at around 2 p.m. today on York Street near the intersection of Eastern Place, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
The pedestrians, whose names have not yet been released, were transported by ambulance to Georgia Regents University for treatment, police said. Their current medical status is unknown.
Public Safety's Accident Reconstruction Team and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are currently investigating the collision.
