The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating an armed robbery that happened at a home on Brandt Court on Wednesday.
The incident happened at an apartment just before 2 a.m., according to a report.
The victim told officers that he heard a knock at the door and saw a man standing outside, according to the report. He could see the man’s face, so he opened the door.
When the victim opened the door, two other men with covered faces rushed into the door and forced him to the floor at gunpoint, according to the report.
One of the men reportedly had a shotgun, and the other two had handguns.
The victim said one of the suspects told him “he better give him the money,” but he told the suspect he didn’t have any money, according to the report.
The suspect reportedly threatened to kill the victim if he didn’t give him any money.
The victim said he had money near his bed, and overheard the suspects say they were going to take the televisions, according to the report.
The victim’s son was asleep on the couch and woke up when he heard the suspects demanding money from his father.
The suspects told the victim to go into his bedroom and close the door, then left the scene, according to the report.
Two televisions, a video game system and cash were reported stolen.
