March 23: Crime blotter

• Aiken Public Safety is investigating a burglary at a home on Schroder Avenue on Thursday. The owner reported a video game system, two laptop computers and a cell phone missing.

• A vehicle break-in was reported on Richland Avenue on Thursday. The owner reported a gun missing from the glove box.

• A vehicle break-in was reported on York Street on Thursday. The owner reported that the car was left unlocked, and prescription medications were missing.

• An Aiken woman reported on Thursday that when she went to file her taxes, she was told that her Social Security number and personal information had already been used to file.

• A burglary was reported to the Sheriff’s Office at a home on Edisto Lake Drive in Wagener on Wednesday. The owner reported jewelry missing.

• Burglaries were reported on Addie Road in Graniteville and Old Powderhouse Road in Aiken on Thursday.
