Savings not worth the theatrics
While President Obama has been flying around the country attempting to scare people into believing the sky will fall because of the sequester, the simple fact is that federal domestic spending has soared more than 80 percent since Barack Obama took office. Some agencies have doubled and tripled their budgets.
In reality, the sequester will only scale back just one in every $6 in discretionary spending increases since 2008. Hardly worth all the campaign like theatrics when this is not even really a cut. It is a modest growth rate reduction following years of embarrassing, unnecessary and unsustainable excesses.
I guess a little leadership is too much to ask for from our debonair grifter president.
