Erin Elizabeth Jewell of Mobile, Alabama and Joshua Metts Taylor of Mobile, Alabama were married March 9, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Aiken, SC. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. David Jewell. The Rev. Karen Hollis Radcliffe officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Ms. Sheryl Jewell and the late William Davis Jewell, Sr. of Aiken, S.C. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Clara Hollis and the late Avery D. Hollis, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jewell and the late Lavon Jewell.
The bridegroom is a son of Ms. Pam Metts of Monroeville, AL, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ronald Taylor of Fairhope, AL. He is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Brent Metts and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Carlyle Taylor.
Miss Megan Brooke Hammer, friend of the bride, of Aiken, SC, was the maid of honor. Mrs. Meredith Jewell, sister-in-law of the bride, of Columbia, SC, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amy Beth Ann Tatum of Opelika, AL, friend of the bride; Mrs. Catherine Alice Earl Wheeler of Mobile, AL, sister of the groom; and Miss Alice Lynn Harper Taylor of Denver, CO, sister of the groom.
Mr. Robert Ronald Taylor, father of the groom, of Fairhope, AL, was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Ronnie Dewight Tatum of Opelika, AL, friend of the groom; Mr. Robert Christopher Watson of Monroeville, AL, cousin of the groom; Mr. Michael Jason Patrick of Opelika, AL, friend of the groom; and Mr. Justin Love of Montgomery, AL, friend of the groom.
Tristan Taylor Tatum of Opelika, AL was the ringbearer. Addison Clair Quick of Saluda, SC was the flower girl.
Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with family and friends. The reception was held at Newberry Hall in Aiken, SC.
They will reside in Mobile, AL.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of South Aiken High School. She is a graduate of Steven W. Brown College with a degree in Radiography. She is employed by the Mobile Infirmary.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Monroe County High School. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science. He is employed by Hargrove Engineering.
