The bride is a daughter of Barney and Odessa Chavous of Aiken, SC. She is a granddaughter of John Otis Key and Rev. Rosa L. Key Jordan and Barney Oscar and Mary Larke Chavous.
The bridegroom is a son of John M. and Barbara W. Sims of Jacksonville, FL.
Nikeya Monique Chavous, sister of the bride, of Aiken, SC was the maid of honor. Matea Chavous of Augusta, GA, first cousin of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Alfred DeVaughn Capers of Jacksonville, SC, was the best man.
Langston Jabari Williams, first cousin of the groom, was the groomsman.
A reception was held in The Legends Club.
They will reside in Augusta, GA.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO). She is a graduate of South Carolina State University with a degree in Marketing. She received her MBA from Troy University, class of 2007. She is employed by Richmond County Board of Education.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Ribault (Jacksonville, FL). He is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Computer Information Systems. He is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army.
