Brantley Anne Culver and Michael Jacob Anderson were married Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Charles Ezra Daniel Chapel, Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. The Reverend James Aaron Rayburn of Edwards Road Baptist Church officiated the 6:00 PM ceremony. A reception followed at the Poinsett Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Gloria Watkins Culver of Greenville, SC, and Mr. Curtis Newton Culver of Houston, TX. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Young Watkins of Greenville, and Mrs. Leonard Glenear Culver and the late Mr. Culver of Fayetteville, AR. Brantley graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and from Converse College, Spartanburg, SC, with a Master of Arts in Teaching. She is employed as a Brokerage Assistant with Colliers International in Columbia, SC.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Michael Anderson of Aiken, SC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Worth Gheen of Greenwood, SC, and Dr. Edwin Charles Anderson and the late Mrs. Anderson of Clemson, SC. Jake graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and is completing a Master of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina. He is employed as an Assistant to the Director of Operations for Track & Field with the University of South Carolina Athletic Department in Columbia, SC.
Meredith Culver Swiger of Greenville, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Marie Donnan, Maggie Lawhon Flowers, Rachel Schwind Garner, Lindsay Schwind Gentles, and Erica Woo Mansfield.
Robert Benjamin Anderson, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Byron Nelson Bush, Robert Billings Cross III, Bradley Dargan Flowers, Jordan Daryl Hinson, and Andrew James Tweito. Geoffrey Scott Swiger, brother-in-law of the bride, served as usher.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koger Fairey IV, and Mr. and Mrs. Jayson David Hinkson served as greeters.
Following a honeymoon trip to Turks and Caicos, the couple will reside in Columbia, SC.
