Cameron wins Miss Greater Irmo

Aiken native Shelby Cameron, a 15-year-old sophomore at South Aiken High School, won the title of Miss Greater Irmo Teen 2013 in December 2012. In July, she will compete for the title of Miss South Carolina Teen 2013.

An avid clogger, Cameron has been clogging with Southern Thunder Cloggers since she was 9 years old and has won many awards which include World Champion Traditional Solo in 2010 and an induction into the 2012 Palmetto’s Finest Team. For her talent in the State Pageant, she will be clogging.

The new Miss South Carolina Teen 2013 will win a minimum $10,000 scholarship, which Cameron has plans to use to further her education at the University of South Carolina to study criminal investigation.
