Meghan Marie Clemmens of Charleston, SC, and Carl Reed Teague of Spartanburg, SC, were married on January 19, 2013, in Charleston. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Fr. Gregory Wilson officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Clemmens of Aiken, SC. She is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kiehn of Jackson, Wyoming, and Mrs. Genevieve Clemmens and the late Mr. Edward John Clemmens of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Walton Teague of Mountville, SC. He is a grandson of the late Mr. Ellis Gerrard Stuart and Mrs. Martha Stuart of Greenwood, SC, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Howard Teague of Mountville, SC.
Miss Meredith Anne Clemmens of Clemson was the maid of honor. Mrs. Catharine Lee Stover of Charleston was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Lauren Hoffman Taylor of Atlanta, Mrs. Julia Elizabeth Clark of Philadelphia, Mrs. Bayne Brasel Dangerfield of Columbia, Mrs. Erin Parks Stewart of Aiken, Mrs. Stacy Burkhart Leita of Aiken, Miss Meredith Elizabeth Dukes of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Emily Roseberry Maman of Greenville, all friends of the bride.
Scripture readers were Dr. Clarice Seifert Clemmens and Mrs. Corey Sherman Gilfoil. Greeters were Mrs. Elizabeth Hayes Dukes and Miss Kathryn Stuart Banks.
Mr. William Walton Teague of Mountville, father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. William Ryan Teague, brother of the groom, Mr. Cecil Yates Brown, friend of the groom, Mr. Jonathan Alan Coleman, friend of the groom, Mr. Matthew Hunter Wiggins, friend of the groom, Mr. Brandon Ross Arrington, friend of the groom, Mr. Michael Alden Mims, friend of the groom, Mr. Andrew Teague Brooks, cousin of the groom, and Mr. Mathhew Kiehn Clemmens, brother of the bride.
The ushers were Mr. Robert Mark Taylor, Mr. Austin Howell Crosby, Mr. Marshal West McGowan, and Mr. Matthew Nigel Brooks.
Following a reception at Founders Hall at Charles Towne Landing, the couple left for a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe, California.
They will reside in Spartanburg.
The bride is a graduate of South Aiken High School. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a Master of Architecture degree. She is employed by Thomas & Denzinger Architects.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Laurens Academy. He is a graduate of Clemson University and the Charleston School of Law. He is employed by The Ward Law Firm.
