Tickets to see the live musical that has entertained millions for over four decades are on sale now.
“Fiddler on the Roof” will show at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta on March 3 at 3 p.m.
The show is based on Sholom Aleichem’s stories.
Tevye is an honest, poor milkman, living with his family in the small village of Anatevka. Changing times are threatening the traditions the village and he hold dear, but his faith and love help him through.
Known songs include “Tradition,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”
“No other musical has so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an electrifying and unforgettable experience,” according to a release.
The Augusta performance is just one of many stops in the New York’s group national tour that started in October in Arkansas and will end in April in Massachusetts. For more information, visit www.fiddlerontour.com/index.asp.
The show is also part of the Bell Auditorium’s Broadway in Augusta series. The next show is “Elvis Lives” on March 27.
