George Bolton and Stonestreet’s Stable Spring Hill Farm will make his seasonal bow in a 7-furlong allowance race Sunday at Gulfstream Park. The 4-year-old son of Grade 1 winner Smart Strike, was bred by the late Edward Evans, and was broken and trained in Aiken by Legacy Stable’s Brad Stauffer and Ron Stevens.
Spring Hill Farm is conditioned by 5-time Eclipse Award winning trainer Todd Plethcer, will be ridden by 2-time Eclipse Award winning jockey John Velazquez, will carrry 119 pounds, break from post position no. 6 in a 7 horse field, and is the second choice on the morning line at 3/1.
Dogwood Stable’s Place Malice was second in his 2013 debut. The 3-year-old colt finished a strong second to Majestic Hussar in a 7-furlong allowance race over an off track Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
