Santa will be at Sunrise Grill in North Augusta (next to Big Lots) today from 9 a.m. to noon and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring the kids.

The Iron Horse Bar and Grill, 2510 Storm Branch Road in Beech Island, will have a Christmas Party with John Berret’s La Roxes at 8:30 p.m. today.

Fondue Nation, a nationwide cheese melting extravaganza and tasting event held by Murray’s Cheese to educate attendees about the fun and easy cooking tradition of fondue, will be held at the Kroger on Whiskey Road today from 2 to 6 p.m. There will be fondue, activities for kids and a chance to win a trip to New York City.

Local author David M. Tavernier will be signing copies of his book, “Stories of the Rich and Famous, Aiken’s Winter Colony in the Gilded Age,” today at Boots, Bridles & Britches, 1310 E. Pine Log Road, from 2 to 4 p.m.

GVW Christmas Tree Lighting will be held today at 6:30 p.m. Graniteville and surrounding area residents are invited to a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Hickman Hall on Marshall Street in Graniteville. Light refreshments will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring an ornament gift for the tree and also bring your singing voices to participate in an old-fashioned carolling event.

Cumberland Village’s third annual Festival of Lights will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. Take a hayride around the 38.5-acre property, take a picture with Santa or roast marshnmallows and sip on a cup of hot chocolate. Aiken Motorcycle Sales and Service will host a Toy Run Ride and Lunch today. Bring one unwrapped toy per bike (approximately $15 value or greater) or pay $20 cash donation per bike. Meet at Aiken Motorcycle, 2129 Whiskey Road, at 9:30 a.m., ride to Toys for Tots warehouse for toy dropoff and arrive back at Aiken Motorcycle at 12:30 p.m. for lunch and door prizes. All toys will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
