Man dies in SUV, moped accident
A Tuesday morning crash between an SUV and a moped resulted in the death of a North Augusta man, according to the state Highway Patrol.

“Both vehicles were traveling south on U.S. 25 when they collided,” Elder said.
No other details were available, and the crash was still under investigation Tuesday afternoon.
Sheriff’s Office detains juvenile for burglary
A juvenile was detained for burglary by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office after officers caught him hiding behind a home following a break-in, according to a report.
Officers arrived at the scene on Chafee Street in Warrenville around 1 a.m. on Monday and found several storage buildings broken into, according to a sheriff’s report. An anonymous person called and said the suspect was hiding behind a house on Ralph Greene Drive.
Officers searched the area and found the suspect hiding behind a trash can. The juvenile suspect reportedly tried to steal a box of copper wire.
The suspect told officers he was a lookout for two other subjects. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office, where he was turned over to juvenile investigations.
