Applebee’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill will ring in December and the Christmas season with a big breakfast and the big man in red.
The annual “Breakfast with Santa” will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at Applebee’s, 1360 Whiskey Road. The event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Tickets are $7, and can be purchased anytime before the breakfast, including the day of the event. The restaurant has a discount going on now in which guests can buy one ticket and get one free.
According to Lesia Graham, key hourly manager for the restaurant, the ticket will buy a breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs along with a variety of beverages. There will also be a silent auction with items ranging from gift cards to wine which will be set up around the bar in the restaurant, and a visit from the jolly old elf himself.
Graham said guests are encouraged to bring cameras to take photos of their visits with Santa, and that the event is open to guests of all ages.
“Bring an adult. If they want to take pictures with Santa Claus, that’s fine, too,” she said. “Come out and have fun. We’re gonna have pancakes and Santa.”
