Filing opens for Don Wells’ at-large seat on City Council

Submitted photo These are the districts of Aiken City Council. Former at-large councilman Don Wells has submitted his resignation to Council now that he has been sworn in as the representative of S.C. House District 81. Under the new redistricting plan, there are no longer at-large seats on Council with the exception of the mayor. Wells’ former seat will become District 6. There will be a special election to fill his unexpired term.
