Filing opens for Don Wells’ at-large seat on City Council

Charles Barton, representative of Aiken County Council District 6, will be submitting his resignation to Council once his appointment as County auditor has been confirmed by Gov. Nikki Haley’s office. Barton will be leaving in the middle of his 4-year term. There will be a special election to fill his seat.
