LETTER: Obama wrong on foreign policy
Is there a possibility Obama has spent so much time with his contributors in Hollywood, where affairs are commonplace, that he is now confused about the meaning of foreign affairs?
It sure seems that way when the whole world is aware of the Sept. 11 date but we do nothing to secure our embassies in hostile parts of the world and even ignore warnings of a dangerous security situation.
We hear about the murder of four Americans, including a U.S. Ambassador, and our primary news media covers up the pictures of his brutally beaten body being dragged through the streets of Benghazi. What a supreme white-washing.
Ten days later our president is still blaming a video, made by a crackpot, for causing this attack while, his own administration is acknowledging this was planned terrorist activity.
To add to the mess, while there is an epidemic of anti-American demonstrations from Tunisia to Indonesia, Obama grovels before that useless body, the United Nations General Assembly, recently and accurately described by Charles Krauthammer as a “ roomful of the most corrupt, repressive, tin-pot regimes on earth.”
Even worse we remain the major funding source and host to the U.N. as well as continuing to send billions of taxpayer’s dollars, or money we borrowed from China, to many of the U.N. members like Libya, Syria and Egypt, while they openly show us the proverbial finger by voting against us more than 75 percent of the time.
It is quite obvious our foreign policy is collapsing around us while Obama is out campaigning for four more years of the same.
