The manager of Publix on East Gate Drive reported thata woman stuffed about $500 in cosmetic items into her purse and left the store without paying.

A 21-year-old man was detained for shoplifting after he tried to take two purses from a store in Aiken Mall.

A 24-year-old man was detained for disorderly conduct after Aiken Public Safety officers investigated a domestic call. The man took off his shirt and shoes, threw them into the road, then stood in the road waving his arms and yelling at the homeowner.

Vehicle break-ins were reported to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office on McDonald Street in Aiken, Pine Street in Gloverville, Oak Street in Gloverville, Murphy Street in Warrenville, Alley Street in Warrenville, Johnson Street in Gloverville, Hubert Street in Warrenville and Turnbull Street in Warrenville.

A break-in was reported at a home on Riverbend Drive in Beech Island. The homeowner reported a laptop computer missing.

A break-in was reported on Turnbull Circle in Graniteville. The homeowner said someone entered the home, moved her furniture around and turned on some lights. Nothing was reported missing.

A burglary was reported on Addie Road in Graniteville. The homeowner reported that a window was forced open, and some electronics and jewelry were missing.
