Aiken M.S. 24, AL Corbett 6The Aiken Middle School football team picked up its first win of the season on Wednesday, a 24-6 victory over AL Corbett (0-3). The Hornets were led by Brayton Sanders, who scored touchdowns on runs of 50, 20 and 3 yards. Aiken will return to action next Thursday at Ridge Spring-Monetta.


Kennedy M.S. 30, Paul Knox 0Kennedy improved to 4-0 on the season with a 30-0 victory over Paul Knox (1-3). Quarterback D’Najee Whosendove threw a pair of long touchdown passes to Harold Hilton (65 yards) and Eli Bentley (55 yards), while Colby Campbell had a 5-yard scoring run and Paul Williams added a 70-yard TD run. Kennedy will return to action next Wednesday at Schofield.


North Augusta M.S. 26, LBC 20North Augusta improved to 4-0 on the season with a 26-20 win over LBC. The Yellow Jackets will return to action at North Augusta High School next Wednesday against Leavalle McCampbell.


Soccer

USCA Women 1, Flagler 1The USC Aiken women’s soccer team (4-6-2, 3-2-1) tied Peach Belt Conference foe Flagler 1-1 in double overtime tie. Heaven Tylee scored the Pacers’ goal on an assist from Alex Cohen. USCA’s next game is on Saturday against Coker, a non-conference opponent.
