A 26-year-old man was detained for driving under the influence after Aiken Public Safety officers pulled him over for speeding on Hitchcock Parkway.
Aiken Public Safety officers responded to vehicle break-ins on Richland Avenue, Hill Top Avenue, Fairfield Street and Scotch Pine Road over the weekend.
A burglary was reported at a home on Hahn Avenue. Money, jewelry and a television were reported missing.
Gunshots were reported on Kershaw Street. Public Safety officers investigated but could not substantiate the report.
Public Safety officers responded to a burglar alarm on Horry Street. They found that a dishwasher had been removed from the home and left outside the back door, and a washing machine had also been removed from its location.
A Wagener man reported that someone fired a gunshot at his truck’s windshield as he was driving down Edgefield Drive. Damage was reported to the windshield.
A delivery driver for Domino’s Pizza reported that, when he stopped to eat at McDonald’s, someone took the Domino’s delivery sign from the top of his vehicle. The sign was valued at $300.
An Aiken man reported a generator was missing from his vehicle parked on the Whitney Polo Field for a music festival.
A 50-year-old man was detained for driving under the influence after he was involved in a collision at the intersection of Abbeville Avenue and Greenville Street.
A burglary was reported on Jehossee Drive. The owner reported a television, a Nintendo Wii game console and some games missing.
A 14-year-old middle school student was detained for simple possession of marijuana after admitting to school officials to having and exchanging drugs with another student.
Aiken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to stolen vehicle reports on Sanders Drive in North Augusta, Pine Log Place in Beech Island and North Street in Aiken.
A Graniteville woman reported a break-in in her garage. A lawn mower, a lawn trimmer and a bicycle were reported missing.
A Warrenville woman reported that someone took several prescription medications and her walletfrom her home.
