Police blotter for Sept. 6, 2012

An Aiken man was taken to jail after he was found stumbling on Barnwell Avenue. The 26-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct.

A George Street man reported that he was the victim of an assault on Wednesday around 12:15 a.m. The victim said the men all wore blue bandannas around their necks and followed him home from the grocery store. The victim said he did not have any money and said he was assaulted.

An Aiken woman reported that she was being followed by an unidentified man while she was doing errands on Tuesday. The woman said she left a store where she saw the man following her and then spotted him in a vehicle following her. She drove to Aiken Public Safety for help.

A pizza carrier reportedly received a counterfeit bill from a customer on Abbeville Avenue. The item was found to be fake long after the pizza had been delivered.

A car break-in was reported on Park Avenue in Aiken on Tuesday. The victim said the window was broken out and her purse was missing.

Vandals reportedly spray-painted a business at Fabian Drive over the weekend.
