The son of Grade 2 winner Distorted Humor is 4/1 on the morning line, and will break from post position no. 4.
Jockey Joe Bravo gets the return call on Fortify. The bay colt broke his maiden by 5 1/2-lengths in his first start, a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race at Saratoga Race Course on Aug. 4. Fortify is conditioned by Kiaran McLaughlin. The juvenile winner last breezed on Aug. 27, turning in a bullet work covering a half-mile in 46 seconds.

Brenda K. Selwyn Waxmanís Ultimate Destiny placed second in the 1-mile Vice Regent Stakes on the turf Sunday at Woodbine. The chestnut gelding has placed second in three stakes races including the second jewel of the 2012 Canadian Triple Crown, the Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie. All three of his stakes placings have been on different surfaces, the Polytrack Elite in the Kingarvie Stakes as a juvenile at Woodbine; the Prince of Wales Stakes on dirt at Fort Erie and the Vice Regent Stakes on the turf at Woodbine during his sophomore campaign. The Mike Keogh charge has now earned $262,221.
Dogwood Stableís Ginger Snapit placed third in the 1 1/8-mile Saratoga Dew Stakes on Aug. 27 at Saratoga Race Course. The George Weaver charge increased her bankroll to $158,780. The gray 4-year-old daughter of Grade 1 winner Tapit, was broken and trained in Aiken by Legacy Stableís Brad Stuaffer and Ron Stevens.
