Paula Anne Scott of Warrenville and Staff Sgt. Kevin Dean Murray of Warrenville were married Oct. 17, 2009, at St. John United Methodist Church, Graniteville. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Alan Quarels officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Paul and Judy Scott of Warrenville. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther H. Scott and the late Lt. Col. and Mrs. M.E. Minor.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Broderius of Fontana, Calif. He is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Alvarez and Mrs. Irene Chip and the late Mr. Edward Chip.
Miss Christy Carnley of Clearwater, Fla., cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Kristen Butera of Senoia, Ga., friend of the bride; Miss Bette Jean Doggett of Aiken, friend of the bride; Miss Leslie Minor of Sharpsburg, Ga., cousin of the bride; Mrs. Jeanine Scott of North Augusta, sister-in-law of the bride; Mrs. Leslie Tatum of Raleigh, N.C., friend of the bride; and Miss Megan Wall of Woodstock, Ga., friend of the bride.
Sgt. 1st Class Willard Combs of Edgewood, Md., friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Sgt. 1st Class Jason Ashworth of Fort Campbell, Ky., friend of the groom; Mr. William Broderius of Fontana, Calif., father of the groom; Mr. Blake Minor of Milledgeville, Ga., cousin of the bride; Mr. Shane Murray of Clarksville, Tenn., son of the groom, and Mr. Ricky Scott of North Augusta, brother of the bride.
Master Brock Mize of Oxford, Ga., cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer.
Miss Bella Grace Scott of North Augusta, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Following a reception in Houndslake Country Club, the couple left for a wedding trip to Hilton Head.
They will reside in Warrenville.
The bride is a graduate of Midland Valley High School in Langley. She is a graduate of USC Aiken with a degree in biology and attended Georgia College and State University for a master's in biology. She is employed by Midland Valley Prep School as a middle school science teacher.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Fontana High School in Fontana, Calif. He is a graduate of Austin Peavy College with an associates degree in computers. He is employed by the United States Army 7th SIGCMO(T) stationed at Fort Gordon.
