Emily Taylor Brown of North Augusta and Sgt. Ira Whray Thompson of Summerville were married Nov. 22, 2009, at the Victorian Wedding Chapel. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Colin L. Bulfinch. The Rev. Jerry Tindall officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Margaret Brown of North Augusta. She is a granddaughter of Margaret Phyllis Bulfinch and the late Robert Miller Bullfinch.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Beverly Thompson of Summerville and the late John Brantley Thompson Sr.
Miss Haley Elizabeth Brown, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor.
CSM Freddie Brock of Fort Belvoir, Va., was the best man.
Miss Madeline Elizabeth Widener of Aiken was the flower girl.
The reception was held in the Victorian Reception House.
The couple will reside in Newport News, Va.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of North Augusta High School. She is a student at Aiken Technical College, where she is pursuing a degree in nursing.
She is employed by Family Pharmacy in Aiken.
The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Summerville High School. He is pursuing a degree in criminal justice. He is employed by the U.S. Army.
