Two people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a home in North Augusta.

Lt. Clay Swann with North Augusta Department of Public Safety said a call came in around 1 p.m. Friday in reference to a vehicle inside a residence on the 800 block of Edgefield Road.

Swann said an occupant of the home and the driver of the vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Swann said the crash is still under investigation

The incident was the second similar one to take place in the city after a driver caused a vehicle to crash into Town Square Olive Oil and Wine on March 12. Christopher Curtis, 34, of Augusta was arrested and charged the next with driving under the influence, transport of alcohol in a motor vehicle with a broken seal and two counts of child endangerment.
