TalkBack for Oct. 12
State of nation
Yes, we do have a lot of time on our hands. We are unemployed, thanks to this administration's anti-private sector policies. I also offer up the reason Chicago was not chosen for the Olympics. Obama has been disrespectful of his country, not vice versa.
Health care
Before you get too impressed with the white-clad "doctors" surrounding Obama supporting his latest pitch for government-run health care, you should be aware that this was a carefully staged show by an organization called DFA (Doctors for America). Cofounders are financial supporters of Obama and were active advisers on his campaign team. This was definitely not a grassroots show from the heartland of America by concerned medical people. They are part of Organizing for America, an Obama campaign arm, and are behind a massive ad, letter-writing and aggressive pushing of the Democrats' government health care takeover. The question is, would you want any of these doctors as yours?
Drug cleanup
I'm a Wagener resident, and I want to know why the police can't clean up the drug activity in this city. There is one major player, yet the police can't seem to catch him.
Burning ban
Aiken County Council needs to implement the no-burning policy in the county. We need to have fresh air on these nice fall days. People are burning and burning and burning.
Barbecue
If Obama came down and tasted our fine barbecue, he would force the restaurants to be open seven days a week. He would also make sure all Democrats eat free.
Leaf blowing
Leaf blowing in the dark is not a good idea. It causes the dogs to bark. Please refrain from doing this.
Banks' bailout
I can see why the banks have to have a federal bailout. Their advertising executive must have been trained by ACORN. They waste so much money on advertising and pay next to nothing on CDs.
